More About Mark
Mark Needle was born in Hollywood, California and raised in the San Fernando Valley, making him what many in the entertainment industry refer to as a "dinosaur" or "unicorn" (they have heard of L.A. natives working in show business, but they never expected to actually see one). With two teachers serving as parents, he grew up hearing phrases such as, "Mark, you're getting a degree," which is how he went to California State University, Northridge and pursued his BA in Cinema and Television Arts emphasizing Electronic Media Management.
While going to school, he started writing and producing his own comedy sketches. Doors began to open for the young scholar, and through hard work and a myriad of internet searches, he realized a dream he had when he was 14: he was an unpaid intern at an actual production facility.
One internship lead to another, each with a little more prestige than the last. During this period as a (mostly) pre-production intern, he met and worked with some pretty cool people. This is why he can drop the names of the Fine Brothers, and how he witnessed some painful Wipeout auditions.
As a graduate with a degree in hand, Mark helped out a few friends with a few smaller projects. He applied to all of the work he could until a theater company in Iowa finally decided to check out this hot shot. During those 10 weeks in Fairfield, Mark enjoyed every minute of being locked in the computer dungeon as their captive Multimedia Designer. He also produced a mini-documentary about the experience. Work begets work, and other midwestern theater companies were excited to hire Mark for his experiences.
Currently, Mark is back home in Los Angeles, writing his own shorts and assisting others wherever he can. He also has a children's book available on Amazon.
