It's true what they say: The days are long, but the years are short. In honor of my 10 years of creating original content, I had a screening of my work. I rented a theater, invited some friends, made party favors, and I made sure to get a photo with all of the night's award winners.

The Deck is going to be featured in San Diego's Comic Con this year! I always enjoy seeing something I'm a part of go from its first inception to a fully-formed creation, and getting into something this prestigious is the icing on that cake. If you happen to be going to Comic Con this year, make sure to check it out! Hopefully, we'll be able to show the final product once it's made its way through the festival circuit.
I just finished shooting another short film, and as the kids say, "it was lit!" First, because Chris was our Director of Photography, so he brought a bunch of lighting equipment. Second, because of the awkward size and angles of everything, Chris and I accidentally turned on the stove at least three times.
Hopefully, this video will be edited by the end of July, and I can start submitting it to festivals! Super Breakup is finally online! This scene is an excerpt from a larger screenplay, The GoGirls, which will feature female, crime fighting, superheroes. I just received a check in the mail for some of the children's books I've published! I honestly was not expecting this to happen for quite some time, and it totally justifies the work I've been putting into the latest book. I don't want to give away too many details, but the book I'm currently working on is another installment of the Slipping Beauty series, featuring some of your favorite characters from the previous two books.
My friend, Veronica, and her husband were able to get me a free seat at NAMM! We mostly took advantage of the seminars being offered, but there was also live music to enjoy, instruments to play, demonstrations, etc. Other than that, I have all sorts of offers planned for February. Sign up for my email list to be eligible for things like free script coverage, help shooting videos, or to learn more about my new ventures!

A week and a half ago, I had the privilege of going down to Disney Animation Studios to watch a film I had helped put together. The Alliance of Women Directors teamed up with Shoot ‘Em Up to pick six directors to tell six true-to-life stories.
Jenn Page’s Soledad is about a woman who escaped horrific incidents in her homeland of El Salvador and now suffers from mental illness brought on by PTSD. She moves in with a family as a live in housekeeper and slowly starts to unravel. It should be public in January, 2019 when it will hopefully be on the festival circuit. |
